The Catholic Institute of Paris

The institution’s mission is to promote exceptional collections and facilitate their consultation and preservation.

Approach & Solution

Arkhênum (partner i2S) has been working with the University since 2015, providing digitization services and putting a digital library online for the Institut Catholique de Paris library and archive service.

The library has chosen to share and enhance its collections on the Internet thanks to the LIMB Gallery solution.

The digital library went online in January 2017 and provides access to the entire collection, i.e. 3,500 photographs of the Near East dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, as well as illuminated manuscripts from the 12th century and maps and plans. A forthcoming online version will offer 360° consultation of Mesopotamian seals.
